Digital Transformation of Democracy

Our Digital Transformation of Democracy program focuses on utilising and promoting the opportunities offered by new technologies.

The young generation is extremely tech savvy and it is ready to bridge the gap between democracy and technology in the Global South. New digital and electronic communications can give access to, voice, and build a more pluralistic view of social issues than ever seen before.

Although there are those who are concerned about the use of technology to weaken core aspects of democracy and democratic representation, this project aims to build confidence in the use of these technologies to strengthen democracy.

eGovernance means an eDemocracy that provides government services to citizens in a simplified and transparent manner, as well as increases the accountability of governments and representatives.
